Like much of the tech world, we were captivated by the rapid advances in AI research and commercialization. Complex systems that only a few years ago would have been impossible or aspirational can now be delivered in hours or weeks of development. As we dug in, we realized that the rapid pace of innovation and development can be as challenging as it is exciting and many of the product managers and engineers we respect simply didn’t have time to keep up with rapid pace ecosystem change. We are here to help your team build solutions with Generative AI by marrying a constant study of the ecosystem, with decades of experience on building analytics and data intensive software.
Generative AI is a rapidly emerging part of the ML/Data ecosystem mapped out in the Firstmark capital MAD ecosystem visual below, tracking and categorizing companies. This 2021 update shows the dizzying breadth of tools already available and will likely be massively expanded in the 2022 update. We know this expansion can be both exciting and overwhelming as we all try to figure out together how to best spend time and capital to build amazing products, tools and automated workflows.

Beyond 2023, given the acceleration of academic research we expect the pace of innovation to continue if not accelerate and different models of leveraging technology to be available depending on the release structures.
